Working as a wildlife conservation videographer, I’ve been lucky to take on some truly meaningful projects, and filming the work to protect the Major Oak in Sherwood Forest has been one of the most memorable.

This ongoing video series documents the vital work being done to protect and preserve the iconic 1,200-year-old Major Oak in Sherwood Forest. The RSPB launched a pioneering project to support the health and longevity of this ancient giant, responding to expert research that highlighted issues like soil compaction and nutrient depletion around its roots.

Working closely with the RSPB and leading experts in soil and tree health, I’ve captured key moments of the project as they happen, interviewing specialists and showing the science behind the scenes. These films help the public understand both the challenges facing this ancient tree and the pioneering efforts being made to secure its future. It’s been a real privilege to be involved in such an important piece of conservation work for this legendary tree, and I’ve loved helping bring its story to life.

If you’re looking for a conservation project video to help tell your story, I’d love to hear from you. Whether it’s capturing expert insights, documenting fieldwork, or creating films to engage the public, I can help bring your conservation work to life through thoughtful, purpose-driven video.
